Brelsford WSU Visitor Center WSU Pullman K-8 Field Trips Program

Accommodations

Eating on Campus

WSU Dining Halls

Groups are invited to take their college experience even further into the life of a student with a visit to one of WSU Pullman’s Dining Halls for lunch or dinner. Dining hall meals are arranged during the scheduling process as part of the overall itinerary. The cost of meals is not included in the field trip, but WSU Dining Services does offer a recruitment price to visiting student groups. Prices vary by meal time and designated dining halls depends on group size, availability and campus location.

Sack Lunches

Pack a lunch and plan to enjoy one of the many excellent outdoor spaces on campus. Don’t worry about weather – there are some great indoor alternatives and both options are taken into consideration when creating itineraries. As a reminder, field trips area walking-based campus visit so it’s important to make sure sack lunches can easily be carried and taken with the group.

Parking

Buses

School and charter buses do not require permits to park on the WSU Pullman campus, but are restricted to an area called Flag Lane. If Flag Lane is full, then an alternate option will be provided during the check in process and a parking map will be given to the lead bus driver.

Personal vehicles

All personal vehicles will require parking permits or will need to be directed to on-site paid parking options. Parking permits are not included in the field trip and can either be purchased online in advance or during check in at the Brelsford WSU Visitor Center.

If your group has chaperones who will be driving separately, please indicate that parking permits will be required and the number of vehicles. Parking permit options, pricing and recommendations will be provided during the scheduling process. It is helpful and most efficient to have a parking plan in place prior to the field trip to allow for a smooth arrival on campus.

Exempt vehicles

State vehicles with exempt plates (XMT) do not require permits to park on the WSU Pullman campus, but are restricted to designated areas. Access to parking beyond the designated areas will require purchase of a WSU Pullman parking permit or use of the on-site paid parking options.

Residence Halls

Field trips are single-day campus visits, but it can sometimes take a whole day of travel just to get to Pullman and there’s a lot to see on the way! Enhance your campus visit with an overnight stay in one of our campus residence halls.

The cost of staying a residence hall is not included in the field trip and varies by specific hall. Residence hall stays are limited to summer months (mid-May through July) and availability of specific halls is designated by WSU Housing and Conference Services. All residence halls can be viewed prior to your visit by taking a virtual tour.
